Meet Cody

The Teacher of Gentle Strength

Cody is a Quarter Horse–Arabian cross with a heart as big as his gentle spirit.

Before coming here, Cody was misunderstood. He was described as "difficult" and "hard to handle," and because it was believed he didn't get along with other horses, he spent years living alone in a separate paddock.

But Cody's story was never about being difficult.

It was about not being understood.

As a herd animal, Cody longed for connection. Once he was welcomed into the herd, he quickly showed everyone who he truly was, a kind, affectionate horse who loves the company of other horses and enjoys forming genuine connections.

Cody is incredibly intelligent and sensitive. Like many gifted souls, he simply needed someone willing to listen rather than judge.

Today, Cody reminds us of an important lesson: when we look beyond labels and take the time to truly understand, we often discover the extraordinary.

His greatest gift is showing us that every heart deserves to be seen for who it truly is.

Meet Daisy

The Teacher of Courage

Daisy is a Quarter Horse–Arabian cross with a bright mind, a playful spirit, and an incredible sensitivity to those around her.

Like Cody, Daisy was once described as "difficult." But she wasn't difficult, she was intelligent. She asked questions, noticed everything around her, and wanted to understand before she trusted. Too often, horses like Daisy are misunderstood simply because they think differently.

With patience, kindness, and the freedom to be herself, Daisy blossomed into the remarkable horse she was always meant to be.

Over the years, Daisy has gently helped children and adults discover something extraordinary. Those who first approached her with fear often left with confidence, trust, and a completely different understanding of horses, and of themselves.

Daisy reminds us that courage is not the absence of fear. Courage begins the moment we choose curiosity over fear and trust over doubt.

Meet Melia

The Teacher of Quiet Leadership

Melia is a beautiful American Paint Horse with a calm, confident presence and a natural gift for leadership.

Within the herd, Melia is a strong lead mare. The other horses trust her, follow her, and find comfort in her quiet confidence. She leads not through force, but through steadiness, wisdom, and calm assurance.

With humans, Melia is the complete opposite of what her strength might suggest. She is gentle, patient, and deeply compassionate, offering a reassuring presence that helps many feel safe and at ease.

Before finding her home here, Melia spent many years in the performance world. She was trained as a show jumper and later competed in barrel racing. While those experiences shaped her athletic ability, they are only a small part of who she is today.

Now, Melia's greatest role is not in the show ring—it is in quietly reminding us that true leadership comes from trust, presence, and kindness.

Meet Freya

The Teacher of Trust

Freya is a beautiful Paint–Fjord cross who came to us as a curious three-year-old with a gentle and sensitive spirit.

After spending a year away, Freya returned carrying new fears. Fast movements, raised voices, and sudden reactions had made her uncertain around people. Watching her lose confidence was heartbreaking, but welcoming her home again has been a gift.

Day by day, Freya is rediscovering what it feels like to be safe. With patience, consistency, and gentle guidance, her trust continues to grow, reminding us that healing is not measured by speed, but by each small step taken with courage.

Just like us, every horse has a unique personality. Some are bold, some playful, some independent, and some are deeply sensitive. There is no right or wrong way to be. Freya has taught me that sensitivity is not a weakness—it is a beautiful strength.

She responds best to kindness balanced with clear, confident leadership. Through her, we learn that gentleness and assertiveness can exist together, creating trust, respect, and lasting connection.

Meet Rudy

The Teacher of Calm Confidence

Rudy is a seven-year-old Fjord Horse with a joyful spirit and a calm, steady nature. Young at heart and full of quiet confidence, he brings a sense of peace wherever he goes.

Very little unsettles Rudy. He approaches life with curiosity, trust, and remarkable composure, reminding us that strength does not need to be loud. His calm presence has a way of helping others slow down, breathe, and feel safe.

Rudy doesn't rush through life. He teaches us that there is wisdom in being grounded, steady, and fully present in each moment.

Spending time with Rudy is a gentle reminder that when we find calm within ourselves, we begin to see the world with greater clarity and confidence.

Meet Forest

The Teacher of Inner Strength

Forest is a miniature Shetland pony with an enormous personality. At thirteen years old, he may be the smallest member of the herd, but he carries himself with confidence, courage, and a spirit far bigger than his size.

Forest was rescued from a situation where the animals were not properly cared for. Despite his difficult beginning, he has never lost his spark. He reminds us that our past does not define who we become.

Among the herd, Forest stands his ground with quiet determination. He doesn't see himself as the smallest horse, and the others respect him for exactly who he is. His confidence comes not from size, but from knowing himself.

Forest has a wonderful way of making us smile while teaching one of life's most powerful lessons: true strength comes from within.
